The first time I have used a taxi in Orkney. Service was fine and driver very pleasant...but a bit expensive. It cost 21 to go 3.5miles from Finstown to Stenness. Just in case anyone wants an idea. I don't know how much other taxi companies charge. Perhaps best ask for a quote up front.

I called to order taxi and the gentleman on the phone delivered me a quite hateful lecture about how he and other drivers are upset that tourists are coming to their island during COVID. I think that personal opinion was unnecessary and if indeed tourists are unwelcome here then it should be made very clear by local authorities. I don't think it is or should be legal to not serve tourists.

Will never be using this service again. Harassed for months over a fine that had nothing to do with me, for a taxi I was not in, and to find out it was paid already in the first place. This was a problem that would have been easily solved if they had checked their bank account. A lot of unnecessary stress and there's plenty of other competitor companies with better service.
