        Don't be put off by the outside appearance. Lots of houses in Kirkwall look like this. Inside, they are decorated and equipped to a very high standard and the owner obviously pays a lot of attention to detail. We stayed in Flat 4 for 5 nights in July 2018. It was spotlessly clean, had a BT Hub 6 for Wi-Fi and off street parking if you have a car. It's in a great place and is only ten minutes or so walk from the town centre and St Magnus cathedral. There's a big Tesco, Lidl and Coop nearby and even they are walking distance. On the whole though parking isn't a problem anywhere on Orkney. The owner even picked us up from the ferry at 11:00 at night and gave us a tour round Kirkwall before taking us to the flat. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
