A bit mucky and a bit small. Oddly had an industrial estate around it. Worth a quick look for the antiquity. Don't forget to bring a torch. Keys available at the Gillian Glue shop in Kirkwall opposite the cathedral.

Orkneys first community fridge! To think how 2800-1500 years ago we had to store food stuffs underground ready for use/planting the following spring, shows how much of a community effort it was for survival. We've lost that nowadays with independence living and mental health issues from the loneliness that brings. Today farmers manage more land by themselves, more people work from home, we've lost all human interaction.
