Buxa Farm Chalets

I stayed with my parents and partner in the central chalet (July 2022). Lovely to see hares, curlews, oyster catchers etc. from the window. Binoculars are a definitely must here - the view across Scapa Flow toward Hoy is *beautiful* and constantly evolving with activity. The chalet itself was well provisioned with everything one would need. I was impressed with the amount of careful thought that had been put in to this place - so much so that I really have no improvements to suggest. I was not personally in contact with the hosts as my partner and I arrived later than my parents and so we werent able to meet them, however our requests and questions over the phone were always met with helpful and informative responses. As for the local area, I highly recommend Archive Coffee (Kirkwall) and Beiting & Brew (which is now in Finstown, not Kirkwall as listed on Google Maps) for coffee and food. Trips to Hoy and Skara Brae are a must for anyone visiting Orkney. Lastly, Id like to relay my thanks to the hosts of this wonderful place. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful - well definitely be back!

Fabulous location, the chalet was clean and tidy on arrival and well provisioned. Owner was lovely and spent plenty of time showing us round and ensuring we knew where everything was and how it worked. Garden is great for the kids and its a 5 minute walk from the beach where we've already been shell picking with the kids.
