Opted for this company because we prefer to support local businesses.
The initial appointment should have made us wary as they did not turn up - til 3 days later!!
We were measured and quoted and after our initial reservations, decided to go ahead. After several appointments being made and no one turning up to fit the blinds, we were losing faith in this company. It is extremely frustrating taking time off work (unpaid) not just on one occasion but on three, to wait in for no one to even give you the courtesy of a phone call.
Even worse, when we were informed that the blinds had not even been made. We had clearly been misled into believing that our order was completed and ready for fitting. After us insisting they had to be done that day, the blinds were made and someone was there within 2 hours. Fitting them in the quickest time possible.
Now we are in a situation where only a couple of weeks later, one of the blinds is faulty. With a brand new baby 1 week old, it is imperative that the blind in the nursery is repaired. We were advised that someone would be out between 10 & 12 yesterday. We waited in all day and despite several phone calls all day and being told "he is on his way, he is running late", no one turned up.
This morning I was told the repair man had actually been out to the house and fixed them - trust me he did not. I am now still waiting for the manager to call me back "in a few minutes when he is due in", that was an hour and 45 minutes ago. Actually, I am still waiting for him to phone me back from my initial complaint on placing the order.
We are not holding our breath but my best advice would be to go to anyone else other than East End Blinds Kirkintilloch.
Unfortunately this review system does not let me put zero stars so opted for the one. Trust me they don;t even deserve one.
