We are on holiday and hit a pothole and it went bang ! I just looked up the nearest garage and we drove there in torrential rain. These guys let us sit in their office, use their loo while they repaired it. I cannot rate them highly enough. Broken down with a van in Kirkcaldy I went to them for what it was an easy fix. Checked online and found them with 5 star reviews to find out later that they were fake reviews. First attempt: they ordered the wrong clutch cable which didn't fit the van, and I was charged for an hour labour although I had nothing to do with them ordering the wrong part, but they charged me 70. Second attempt: they ordered the part on ebay which was 22.76, charged me 64 for it and an hour labour, they charged me 134, ending up paying 204, for a job that would take 30m at max with the right part. If you question the amount with Mr Dave, he will ask you "why didn't do it yourself?" And that's not all. When I took the van back home I've noticed that they disconnected the speedometer cable, errors might happen of course, but not when you pay extra premium for a service. A few miles closer to home the clutch cable snapped again, which came as a shock for me. Called recovery and took it to another garage to find out later that the actual cable that J B Motor charged me 64 was not a perfect fit for the van's gearbox. Extremely disappointed with their service. They took advantage of me being broken down with the van at their garage making me paying double, a rip off. If you don't want to make donations and want a fair service in Kirkcaldy avoid this garage.
