I've had a great experience with this practice. All staff have been exceptionally friendly and professional. For someone with anxiety, it's perfect for me to have an environment that feels comfortable/safe.

I have recently moved back to Kirkcaldy and am happy with the service I've received so far from this practice. Granted I had to re-dial for ages to get through, but once through I left my problem with the receptionist and was called back by the doctor within 3 hours. This is really good compared to my last surgery.

Have been coming to this surgery since I was born and it's a truly awful service they offer here. I recently phoned at 8am (as they suggest when you try to get an appointment!) so called 75 times between 8-9 to be told at 9:05 that I'd missed all the appointments for that day. That is not the first occasion that this has happened. Getting an appointment here is like trying to win the Hunger Games. The treatment and process makes you feel bad for trying to talk to a doctor when ill, so you end up struggling in silence. The reception staff are obviously overwhelmed with workload and so take it out on those trying to get appointments - they could do with some training in patient care and general kindness. I do appreciate, though, that they are probably experiencing a lot of abuse on the phone. When you do get an appointment with one of the overloaded GPs, it's usually a tired, begrudged response that conveys that they care very little about your issue and that you're a nuisance. This isn't just an issue I've experienced. My grandmother was going back and forward here for years about sudden, very painful 'thunderclap' headaches - seeing Dr Flynn - nothing was done or seriously looked into and fast forward a few years, she dies of a sudden brain hemorrhage. Who retires from the practice a couple of months later but Dr Flynn, and there's no record of her notes with my grandmother? Please avoid at all costs if you're new to the area or are considering signing up. This surgery should be used as a case study for a failing NHS.
