Very bad for mental health issues, even a diagnosis wont do you any favors. I was prescribed anti-depressants at victoria hospital after ending up in A&E due to attempted suicide brought on by major depression and a traumatic event. Two weeks later I saw Dr Flynn in a bid to get my prescription renewed (emergency appointment), and she flat out refused to give me anything because I had not been through CAMHS (I was 16 at the time.), despite already having seen a senior psychiatrist. She was very spiteful and would not listen to reason. The waiting list for CAMHS at this time was over 6 months. Anyone who's ever taken anti-depressants knows that stopping abruptly after two weeks is not a good idea, especially when you've attempted suicide in the past. After 6 months, during which I almost drank myself to death, I finally got my prescription back. NOT WORTH IT! I had to stop seeing a private psychiatrist in order to attend CAMHS and get a prescription. CAMHS are bloody useless too. GO TO ANY CLINIC BUT THIS ONE! I wonder how she sleeps at night.

Extremely rude and patronizing. Do not see if you are a minor, and do not take your children to see her. Do not see her for any reasons regarding mental health or other medication, you will be made to feel worthless. If you are suicidal, DO NOT see her, I would not even risk going to this clinic as quite a number of doctors are incompetent when it comes to such problems. Yes, A&E is not the place for mental health issues, but with such awful services from regular doctors, it is no wonder those such as myself end up there to FINALLY get some proper help.
