I want to put this next bit delicately, the trouble was it had an overpoweringly unpleasant odour in there which didn't dissipate in the 90mins I was in the library, cafe and museum.
The cafe is obviously popular and clearly many folk go in for a break and to have a quiet place. Occasionally there are newspapers available, not always that day's but I guess we can't expect the local authorities to purchase such an item for the community. Still the signal was good so I could get my news update on my smartphone.
Yes, I will go again, and not just to return my books!
It's not the biggest place but has a decent small library, obviously you can order books for collection, if you know what you want.
A very small museum with a variety of bits and pieces which is quite interesting, but doesn't take too long to go around.
Upstairs, there's a small art gallery which is worth a perusal, if you like art - you're probably disposed to it if you visit a cultural centre/library/museum anyway!
Some quaint old world loos in the below ground level area.
A nice cafe (but only a cafe) coffee, tea, soft drinks (I think small bottles of wine too) pre made sandwiches, sugary cakes and sometimes soup. It's ok but check the drinks/soup are hot, I've had a few of late that are not hot, indeed barely warm!
Library staff have always been lovely to me.
I will go again.
