The gallery and garden is small but magical, and well worth visiting. The family are welcoming and there is no pressure to buy. Richard is a craftsman and a natural speaker who is happy to share his knowledge. His demonstrations are enthralling.

I stopped off at Bole the Gallery after seeing a sign for it during a cycle ride. The gallery is in a beautiful garden setting and Richard's work is amazing; I love the fact that it is all made from wood, even though some of the pieces don't look like it. Most of the pieces were quite expensive, though very intricate so I can see why. There were a few pieces around 50 or below that were still beautiful. I didn't buy anything partly because of the price and partly because I couldn't carry much on my bike, but I didn't feel pressured to and Richard was still kind enough to offer to fill up my water bottle as it was a hot day and I was cycling 100 miles. Definitely worth a visit if you're an art lover.

This gallery is a little hidden gem we discovered on a day out around the local area. We spotted the gallery sign opposite the inn in Kilberry and decided to take a look. The gallery is in the sunroom at the back of the gallery owners family home. You ring the bell and receive a wonderful warm welcome. This gallery is full of the owner Richards amazing woodwork. His craftsmanship is truly stunning. Much of his work are investment pieces with prices points of several hundred pounds to well over 1500 but as some of these pieces take the best part of a month to make you can see where the price comes from and are very reasonable. But there are pieces of his fine work for under 60 which was more in our price range. He also showcases the work of other local artists. Woven wall hangings, painting and photography among other things. These other artists are of the same calibre so again some of the pieces are several hundred pounds but again we bought a beautiful print at 20 and one of Richards small pieces, 3 fish on a lovely rock for 40. Richard is also a wealth of knowledge of the local area which he is passionate about so can point you in the right direction for great places to eat and visit. So when you keep seeing the signs for Kilberry is well worth a detour along this beautiful scenic road among some of the most stunning scenery.
