These are brilliant and really affordable compared to hotels, especially for a family wanting a couple of nights. Everything was easy, from navigating the website to booking. The accommodation is of a high quality and had everything we needed for a couple of nights away. Although there are pods nearby, the layout means it feels very private, and you're not overlooked. The view for the pod was lovely.

Wonderful place right next to Lagavulin Bay. The pods were clean and comfy and Gus was really friendly when he greeted us. Remote location in the south of the island next to the Lagavulin distillery, 5 minutes walk. Perfect for a couple of quiet days on Islay, enjoying nature and the sea. Definitely will go there again. We also stayed at the Tin House, a perfect home away from home. Very spacious and has everything one needs on vacation.

If you want to fully enjoy the nature and solitude of the island, you can basically only stay at Storm Pods. I have not discovered any other accommodation where you can be so much to yourself (apart from the goose that seems to live in the meadow :)). The pods are pragmatic and very well furnished. My favourite place was the bedroom with the cosy bed, from which you have a fantastic view of the sea, which includes the sunrise and moonrise as well as the sounds of the surf. At the same time, you are not far from Port Ellen and can explore the south of the island very well by bike. I was almost disappointed not to have experienced a storm, but at least it rained a little on the last night and there were wonderful waves to see breaking on the rocks in the sea. I really enjoyed my time here and hope to be back soon.
