Kilmeny Country House

I cannot say enough positive things about this bed and breakfast. One of the best places we have stayed out of any destination we have visited. The food, room, and location were all excellent. Margaret and her husband were fabulous hosts and the food was delicious each morning as well as afternoon tea when we arrived. We hope to make it back to Islay and will definitely be staying at Kilmeny Country House.

In my opinion if anyone is going to visit Islay this guest house must be of first consideration. Perhaps classed as a b+b but rest assured the accommodation is of 1st class hotel standard, the rooms are immaculately clean, comfortable and a homely feel. An array of fruits, cereals and yoghurt accompanied by a very good breakfast menu can be found in the beautiful dining room just off the wonderful guest lounge. Your hosts, Margaret and Blair, will give you a warm welcome and go that extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as can be had, if I could have I would have given more stars to these two stars.
