I've been coming to Gigha for ten years and camped every year but this year we couldn;t as the campsite is closed (being relocated), so we booked Hannah and Joe's yurt. I'm honestly not sure I'm going to be able to go back to the tent! The yurt is huge and absolutley stunning - it's a gorgeous traditional mogolian design. The stove is easy to light and so cosy, the futons really comfortable, and great to have your own shower/loo nearby and access to a fridge in the shed. It's in a beautiful garden with a host of hens, guinea fowl, turkeys... we absolutely loved hanging out with them and a week after returing home are weirdly still missing them, even the turkeys thundering round the yurt in the morning! Hannah and Joe and the lovely girls are such a lovely family and think of every detail and couldn;t do enough to make our stay memorable and comfortable. Finally, this place is in the centre of the village but minutes away from the beach - perfect location. Gigha is very special, and still my favourite Scottish island. Thanks for an absolutley wonderful holiday Joe and Hannah, we will be back.
