Orsay House Bed & Breakfast

Lovely BnB accommodation with fantastic views across to Orsay lighthouse. Our room looked out over the bay so we had a lovely sea view with binoculars provided so can watch the birds and seals. The rooms were clean and well looked after with thoughtful touches. The breakfasts were great (selection of cooked Scottish and continental available), the rooms are lovely & cozy. As well as well equipped for making teas, coffees etc. The hosts are very friendly and attentive lots of handy information provided for people visiting to make sure you have a good time. Islay is a magical place for anyone who loves Whisky but even if you dont then you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, wildlife and history. You can get a few local made souvenirs such as key rings and fridge magnets at the BnB too!

We spent three nights on Islay and at the Orsay House and felt very comfortable and at home. Ali and Garry are fantastic hosts with lots of tips for the island and a lot of good stories.The house and rooms are very clean and cosy and the view is fantastic. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is prepared with love. The cherry on the cake is a fantastic ocean and view from the parking space and garden deck and the most beautiful wallpaper we have ever seen in a bathroom . We will come again ! D+D+S+L

Ali and Gary were great hosts; friendly, helpful, informative and very good humoured. Their residence is in a lovely setting, overlooking the lighthouse on Orsay Island, and the resident family of seals. The breakfast kitchen allows a sociable atmosphere to occur, which all adds to the holiday experience. We had the king size room, with the en suite. Ask Gary and Ali's advise on distillery tours, (they've done them all, a number of times), and they're good for gardening tips, wildlife & local history knowledge plus local walks.
