Lovely places to stay for a few days or a night. The rooms are really nice with very comfy beds. The bath room has a great shower, our bathroom was across the hall. There is a shared seating area down the stairs or you can sit around the back when the shop/garden centre/ cafe has closed. There is 5 rooms and nearly everyone staying had a dog( including us). The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is huge! We dint feel the need for lunch. You can pre-order your dinner with a selection of meal's which they leave in the fridge for you. Glenbarr is about 30 minutes from Campbeltown and Tarbert. The ferry to g Gigha is about 10 mins away with the ferry leaving mainland on the hour. I've stayed at Glenbarr twice now and would go back again next year!

Stayed at Glenbarr having crossed the Northern ferry from Arran. It was actually 30 mins south of our desired direction, but nonetheless it was available. The house has been designed and modernised as a fully equipped B&B with very good sized bedrooms and a large communal lounge/kitchen. Everything was to a high standard throughout! Beds were comfy and the private bathroom worked perfectly - there were even bathrobes to wear for crossing the couple of feet across the corridor to reach it! Because of the lack of eateries in the local vicinity, the hosts provided a choice of prepared evening meals that were waiting in the fridge for us - and very tasty they were too on this hot summer evening. Breakfast was taken in the greenhouse, but was also available in the cafe or in the garden. A very tasty meal including haggis in a bap was my choice. Overall it was an excellent transit stop and we really should have visited Cambletown (which was only about 6-8 mins drive away) but we had to hit the road and head North early next morning.
