Buyer beware, a number of houses were sold without temporary habitation or full completion certificates which meant that the houses were not built to building regulations however, Persimmon in order to sell these advised that verbal habitation had been given when it has not. Further to this, there is no such thing as verbal habitation. Without temporary or completion certificates, the homeowner's were breaking the law and living in the houses illegally and house insurance certificates may have been void.

BEWARE - Lathro Meadows has been craftily and underhandedly rebranded as Weavers Gait. Although this is technically the next part of the development at first glance it seems the entire estate is now called Weavers Gait. Why was this done?! to distract potential buyers from the huge amount of negative publicly the site has had since its conception in the media. Make no mistake Persimmon are a nightmare to deal with, dont care about anything but money and profit and it wont be any different in the next phase of housing as its the same people doing it. Although there is a huge staff turnover especially site agents of which there has been many, a sign they are not a good company to work for. Once you have purchased initially you will get reasonably fast customer service and repairs issues done, but after a while you wont even get an answer or it will take many emails, calls before they even consider answering. We have been here 3 years and it has been constant upheaval with drains and roads been replaced because of a large mistake with the original drains being put in wrongly which persimmon blamed a contractor for.. apparently they don't monitor any work being done as this would have been noticed at at some-point. Staff are rude ( not all but a fair few)at all levels, don't really care (apart from initially) once you've paid you will see their interest vanish very very fast. Don't search for Lathro meadows on google maps etc as it has been deleted altogether as has Persimmons webpage for it! IF YOU BUY HERE DON'T SAY YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WARNED!
