Got here, no heating or hot water in the bathroom. I messaged the hotel as there is no staff in the hote, they said the plumber is coming. There is no staff at the property and the customer service gives you general apologies for the "inconvenience". We had heating for maybe 3h in the evening and hot water, and then the heating went off. I woke up this morning in a freezing room with no heating and no hot water again! The hotel is delapidated, currently being renowated but generally in a bad state. I can tolerate old rooms but I can't accept cold showers and freezing rooms. Rooms: Rooms are basic, carpets are dirty. No heat and hot water.

We stayed in the penthouse and can't fault anything. It was nice and clean. We had a fridge, microwave and kettle. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Lovely wee sitting area with TV, 2 seater sofa and chair. Lamps and coffee table gave it very homely feel. Bathroom had bath and separate shower. I used the bath which was big and water was lovely and hot. The heating worked great so the room was lovely and warm. WiFi was great also. Would highly recommend. Great value for money ! We will be back The chipp y on the corner does amazing fish and chips ..so I would recommend a wee visit to there also.

The hotel is well located, but this unfortunately the only good thing I have to say about this hotel. The room was spacious, but the cleaning was overlooked as microwave and fridge were not thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. The boiler broke down and we were left with no heating, therefore the room was freezing cold as temperature outside was around 0 degree. We didn't even have hot water as electric shower was not working. The customer service is non existant as no staff on site and you can only contact them by phone. Our request for an electric radiator or an extra blanket have been denied and nothing was done to accommodate our stay and make it more bearable. We were promised a refund, but again the hotel failed to deliver and just gave us a very small amount as compensation, which didn't cover our disappointment and our inconvenience. Avoid at all cost!

brilliant the key safe check in system was so efficient. Booking, check in and leaving was so smooth. All the information I needed was right there. The extra touches like grab and go coffee in the morning was very welcome. Although i didnt interact with any staff I could tell the hotel had went to a lot of effort to look after their guests. Everything was great. If i could offer some very minor advice. A blind over door window might be nice (a lot of light comes in from courtyard) and couldve done with a hook on bathroom door to hang clothes/towel. But I have to stress that didnt detract from the fantastic experience we had. A brilliant stay. we will be back Great location and good sized room.hotel is in a lovely wee town. Nearby activities: We attended the local Shinty match (a bit like hockey) a really popular local sport and was a great, fun and family friendly experience.
