Nice place to walk your dog, small sandy beach near the harbour, beware of the tides when on the sand flats further around past the rocks. Don't park on the double yellow lines in Pettycur road as these are patrolled by Council Parking Attendants, there is a free Council car park behind the harbour wall. The water can be very shallow so care needed if in a boat it's an ideal place to kayak, wind surf, paddle board or fish ( mostly flounder and mackerel in Summer with the odd Bass showing, fish from the harbour wall, incoming high tide the best). There is a larger sandy beach near the harbour with more around the corner over or around the rocks ( beware these sometimes get cut off on high tides and clambering over the rocks can be tricky). Important to note you sometimes get a rip tide out from the harbour wall especially if there is a wind. There are no Public toilets in the area.
