Fabulous experience from start to finish having our kitchen designed and installed by HiF Kitchens. We changed our minds on style and colour a few times, Derek was helpful and patient throughout, and he gave lots of advice on the appliances & finishes touches. We have an older property with uneven floors and walls, Derek overcame these challenges to produce a high quality finish and beautiful looking kitchen. We highly recommend HiF Kitchens.

Derek. What can I say about him? Really good - not enough praise. Excellent - getting there. Brilliant - about sums it up. Having decided we were going to change our kitchen based on a design from another company, a conversation with Derek ensued. From that, there were some alterations made. Was our plan good? It was really good. But there was room for improvement. Derek helped us find these little tweaks that turned our PLAN of a kitchen from wow to 'OMG that is amazing'. Plans are one thing, turning it into a reality - completely different ballgame. Here Derek showed his worth and done the plans justice. We opted for a dry fit, which meant that there were other trades to work around - this can normally cause issues with 'he said, she said', but this was not the case. Work was planned to make sure that all parties got on with what they needed to do in order. Delays? Sure, but these were overcome. We opted for an induction hob, and due to the size of the island / depth of said hob (and did I mention it had downdraft extraction?), was a pain to install. Challenges came, Derek solved. A ridiculously priced part from NEFF not included? No worries, Derek came up with a solution. One that saved me hundreds of pounds and further delays. The plumbing for the Qooker tap not as far back as requested? No problem. Create a cover to hide the said item and pipework? No problem. Leave some panels unfixed so that the sparky can get in to reroute the alarm and add some breakers - no problem. You get the message - some issues you cannot plan for and it is the ease at which he dealt with them and came up with solutions that was remarkable. If you are reading this and thinking, "shall I?" then don't hesitate. I have had many compliments on the kitchen and whilst there is pride in what we have 'created', I doubt very much it would be possible without the hard work and care that Derek (and Jamie) put into it. It's not finished yet - there is an oven that we are waiting from the NEFF - a shortage in the UK. Paint - that needs to be applied. Lights - we need to change them. But even in the current state we are SO PLEASED with the outcome. HIFKitchens came up trumps on price, and the quality of service was exceptional. I know others that have seen my place have asked details and I strongly encourage them to work with Derek. He's going to be my first port of call when we move and have to go through a similar project - except this time, I won't even waste my time using others.
