Gateshaw Cottage - Scottish Borders

We have stayed here several times, it is a lovely cottage set in the most beautiful garden with stunning views. The hosts provide a thoughtful welcome pack and the facilities are excellent. There is plenty of information available about places to go and things to see. We had an easy drive into Edinburgh for the day and a trip to see the kelpies. Theres a good variety of shops and supermarkets in Kelso close by. The booking process is straightforward and self check in easy. We will definitely be back and would recommend the cottage for anyone wanting to explore Scotland or have a relaxing break away from everything.

Gateshaw is an idyllic get away. The cottage is easy to find and the journey is straightforward. Nevertheless you feel perfectly isolated from the world. However, all the amenities you need a few miles away in nearby Kelso. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is the best I have experienced in a holiday rental. The openers are thoughtful and helpful and made us feel immediately relaxed with the well thought through welcome pack. I highly recommend this place and cant wait to return once the travel restrictions are eased.
