Just came across this place by accident by googling waterfalls near Glasgow, glad I chose to goto this spot. 20 odd minutes from Glasgow by train and a 20 odd min walk - or bus into the main area from the station and get there quicker. There's a slight hill walking up the road but it's nothing major. Pass a small bridge (you can easily see it from the bridge) and it's literally just off a dirt road. It's a small dip and there's 2 sides of it - the right will take you to straight above the water (very good flat ledge but still obviously still be careful)and the left will lead you down to it. You can clearly see it. It's more like a muddy step. If you wanna see it more eye level there is another small drop (couple feet) but there's loads of thick tree roots to grab onto and it's a sturdy little bit, well worth it. If you want to get even lower and closer to it, it becomes a bit more dangerous, the rocks are obviously slippy and jagged, and the water gets deep fast (if you wanna have a swim I'm sure it's fine, the water is actually very clear and clean looking - it may look brownish but it's most likely the rocks that the water flows on, similar to the devils pulpit) obviously there there a good chance you will get dirty as it ABIT muddy - but it was surprisingly easy to move around, the jagged rocks do make for good bits to get a good grip. There was a couple cans and some cigarette ends but other than that the area was actually clean and I was there for about 3 hours. Seen 4 people who were actually walking the road but none came down to the water. Anyways, Def gonna go back and recommend it. So peaceful, even if it is loud!
