I didnt realize the bed would be two single beds zipped together. There were no scissors. It just needed a bit of refurbishment or a better clean. However the garden was fully secure for our dog so it felt safe to let him out by himself to wonder around.

We absolutely loved our week here, thank you. Nice and secure for the doggo's - they felt very much at home as did we, lots of privacy, great location for our needs and the added luxury of the hot tub was such a treat. We noticed when booking there was some reviews about the cleanliness of the place, we had zero issue with this and found it to be very clean and had all of the amenities we would expect from a self catering cottage. The location is very rural so a car is a must - I think this impacted the WiFi as the strength was very very poor, so if you are a tech addict keep this in mind as you will struggle to stream or load much on your device. (not much of an issue when the location is so gorgeous!) One thing to note is the stairs in the cottage are quite steep/hard to grip so if you have an older dog that likes to follow you around they will struggle with the stairs. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to return soon!

Sadly a negative review: Cleanliness was very poor especially in times of covid, only the very very basic of cleaning is administered, the shower & kitchen areas especially would benefit from a thorough deep clean & regularly maintained . There is need of some repairs & replacements ie: missing tile grout around bath, replace mastic in/around the shower & a really good scrub of shower tile grout to remove black mould, body fats & dirt. Also replacing the shower head would be beneficial. The bedroom consists of 2 single beds zipped together with an ill fitting quilt to cover (king size but needs super king if to remain as 2 single zipped beds) ideally replace bed with a king size bed especially as accommodation is aimed at couples. Water stain marks to hallway ceiling due missing tile grout from upstairs bath allowing water to flow through. Hot Tub lights didnt work & not all jets but this didnt stop my hubby using it. There was a few positives to our stay it was lovely & warm throughout our stay, the location was ideal for our needs, the towels & bedding were lovely & clean & smelt delightful albeit mismatched. The issues mentioned have been shared with the owner & we have been assured that they will be rectified. The cottage just needs some regular love & attention, possibly a new cleaner. Some of these issues are mentioned in other reviews on other sites recently & in the past year by past clients
