We visited here to pay homage to Lt Anthony Fasson who during WW2 captured a German Enigma machine. He lost his life when the submarine plunged to the sea bed on his third trip to recover secret code books from the sinking submarine. His actions shortened the war by at least 2 years but because of the secrecy he was never given the accord he deserved until some years after the war. Alan Turing would never have made so much progress but for the actions of Lt Anthony Fasson. You speak English today because of his selfless act of bravery and the least you can do is to go and pay homage. A generous donation to his local church would be greatly appreciated.
