        Pretty much in the middle of nowhere, there's no village shop or pub, only a five mile marker to Jedburgh in someone's garden and two bus shelters on the main road. Even the church is padlocked. But we were in an excellent cottage with great views of the Milky Way.

        Beautiful wild camping spot for overnight stop. It's a layby off rural A698. Whilst there we enjoyed stunning sunset & sunrise. Road is very quiet from dusk, making a peaceful overnight stay. Visited after dawn by deer, rabbits, & grouse . Lovely place.
