Having visited this Cemetery for over 60 years I find it heartbreaking that over the last 10 years or so it has become so badly neglected. The team who used to work there maintaining it when not involved in funerals has become what is best described as a 'Flying Squad' covering cemeteries in all of North Ayrshire. Since North Ayrshire Council adopted this scheme there is little time for maintenance. I can only assume that all cemeteries in North Ayrshire will be in similar states of neglect.
