I have been going back and forth to Morris for a couple months now for lessons, watching the horse competitions, Dragioke and to buy more horse gear and every single time I have had a positive experience, I cannot get away, haha. Whoever is responsible for employing staff members really knows how to choose the most cheerful, dedicated and fun people that create the most positive experience to anyone that walks in. Establishment- There is much to find at Morris from an always fully stocked sweetie shop perfect for before a competition or riding lesson, dog grooming, a horse gear shop that looks small but I am convinced has everything you could ever need, a restaurant with the most perfect chips (I am a scary vegan, haha so haven't tried anything else) where you are able to watch the arenas with shows on every weekend. The riding school is wonderful. You could be in any of their three arenas from the massive show arena to the indoor or outdoor riding school. I have had the pleasure of riding two of their ponies/horses. Firstly Comet who is perfect for those learning to ride. He is a wonderful pony that will look after you in the saddle. And I have had the privilege of riding Sparky who is an incredibly well trained show jumping horse that is literally perfect. He follows commands with no troubles and has such a beautiful stride. Staff Members- To begin, Kieran is an incredible instructor being able to have banter in the arena all the while creating a comfortable environment to try new riding exercises and confidence giving in order to ride outside of my comfort zone. He gives fantastic advice while I am riding and if I am not completelyunderstanding something he will adapt the way he is explaining it. Every time I come out of alesson with Kieran my riding is always 10x better than what it was coming in. The lady in the horse gear shop, apologies I never picked up on her name but she has short blonde hair, is such a lovely person. It is obvious she knows the products incredibly well being able to take on board everything I am looking for and find the perfect product as well as being time efficient. If I ever need to get any riding gear again, I will 100% be going back to her shop not only because she is knowledgeable about the products but she exudes kindness. The bar staff are really fast and always cheerful. And last but certainly not least Chris, who I have had the majority of my lessons with, has allowed me to adjust back into the saddle, from my long break of horse riding. His instructions within my lessons are very calculated so I can understand the mistakes I am making and correct them quickly. He has encouraged me to try new pole work, usually having something exciting and different in the arena to keep the lessons interesting. Most importantly he has helped me unlearn bad habits that I have had difficulty undoing from when I did horse riding 5 years ago. Not to mention that Chris is a really lovely person too. I cannot stop raving about Morris. It is an incredibly lovely and inviting place that kind, cheerful people with fantastic banter just gravitate towards to.
