Historic & Scenic Tours Inverness

Our cruise line sold out its Loch Ness excursions and suggested we might take a private tour. We found these folks, and we are so glad we did. While the cruise tours and guides were good, traveling in a smaller group in a vehicle that can go places a bus can't go opened up some additional stops for us. Our guide, Johnny, was knowledgeable about the history, sites, and shortcuts, and offered us the flexibility you just can't get with a larger group. He was waiting for us when we arrived, and most importantly, he got us back to the shuttle bus we had to ride to get back on our cruise ship. I only wish we could have had three or four days with Johnny to see and experience the Inverness area that just wouldn't be possible on a bus tour. Thanks!!!

We had a fabulous day exploring the Northern Highlands with Historic & Scenic Tours Inverness. Our guide Mike was personable, knowledgeable and flexible. He went out of his way to ensure our entire family was engaged and enjoying the day. We would gladly book another tour.

Fantastic tour of the Highlands and Skye. Not only Mike is a very knowledgeable and experienced guide but he is also kind and polite. He understood the needs of our family (we have 3 children) and made sure we had the sightseeing experience we were looking for. Highly recommended!

Our family had a great day of touring with Mike! He was very accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and designed the tour in accordance with our schedule. Mike suggested a very logical approach. His walking tour of Cullodden Battlefield was noteworthy. We were able to visit Cava and see the standing stones and mounds. Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle were spectacular. Mike was amazing all day - made sure we had lunch at a favorite village spot where shopping was also available. Great day for the family! Highly recommend!!

Mike spent so much time and care showing us the best of the Highlands. Everywhere we went he was known by name and he took us to local spots we would have never found. Super clean and comfortable vanwith the privacy we wanted. Could not have asked for a better day.
