When we would go to Inverness, we always made a point to stop at this place! Food really good, service was always amazing and the coffee was great. Had a comfortable, homey atmosphere. We heard that they had moved and wanted to see what the new place was like, boy were we disappointed. First when we got in, the place was really humid and steamy, felt like breathing in water sometimes. They really need to sort this out. We were sat quickly at a sticky table with cheap uncomfortable chairs, and our order taken within 5 mins, we got our coffee but there was a 5 min wait between cups which is really weird, no milk offered, had to go ask for milk. Waitress threw our mugs onto the table nearly sloshing the coffee over the mugs. There was a couple sat in front of us and they waited for nearly an hour for 1 stack of pancakes! Once the waiter arrived with their food, the couple commented that it took a while to arrive, the waiter made a nasty face at them and left the table- no apology at all. We finally got our food 45 minutes after we ordered, our coffees were cold by this time- again no apology was offered! No wait staff even came to check if our food was ok and if we needed anything, just left in a corner completely ignored! We seen that people were turned away at the door, when there was clearly space for them to be seated! All wait staff we encountered were rude, dismissive and unattentive, obviously no training was given to new staff as they have no idea how to treat customers, they lack initiative, politness and general empathy for their customers. We had to used the bathroom there and its a bit of a walk, 2 flights of stairs! All-in-all will not be a back, which is such a shame because we always looked forward to going to this restaurant/cafe. EDIT**** We were in around 10.30am on Saturday 28th April ****
