Tour Skye is great. Entire day seeing many sights and able to hike two locations. Highly Recommended!

I've attended the tour of Skye this April, I was very disappointed. I tried to get in touch with Tour Skye to get a refund but instead they blocked my email address. Very unprofessional. Great landscape views but The tour (if you can call it like this..) was very disappointing experience, caused by the following (and not only...) reasons: 1. driver was ok but completely incompetent as 'local' guide and unable to answer any question about location or highlights. This was meant to be a guided tour and we haven't received any explanation at all. Not even general info about the tour. It felt way more like been dropped around with a taxi. 2. Really misleading description of the tour, without even explaining very well what's included and what is not. For example, nobody ever mentioned that the castle needs a separate ticket to be purchased, and however we spend there only 1h, with no chance to access the castle (ticket is 18pounds each!) 3. We did not stop to all the listed places (skipping distillery and other 2 stops at the end because we were 'running late' due to an issue with the van automatic door, see point 4). Magically, In the end (just because we skipped some of the stops) we were dropped back to portree at 5.45pm (15min early!!). Really missed two good locations. 4. Massive issue with the Van at the very first stop at the fairy pools, the automatic door was not closing and therefore the driver was unable to start the van. The driver did not know how to solve the issue and he refused to call for assistance, as results we've spent circa 40/50min stack in the parking trying to work out a solution. In the end we've been able to restart the van only because of a suggestion to move the van using neutral gear down to an steep existing slop (with all passengers on board!) to reach a flat surface. 5. A kid in front of us spent the morning vomiting in a plastic bag while the van just kept going on the road at full speed, really ruining the experience especially because of the smell and noises while traveling 6. The driver didn't know where he was directed and we stopped the van several times to check if we where headed to the right direction (not expecting this from a 'local' guide tbh...) 7. When we stopped for lunch break it was 11.45am therefore was too early for the caff at the castle to be able to serve lunch menu. Horrible food offer. Overall it was an unpleasant experience that I would not recommend to other people. Find a different provider, there are menu tour alternatives in the island :)

Started our journey in Inverness with our wonderful guide Paola, after talking briefly about our itinerary, we were whisked away to our first location with Paola sharing her vast knowledge of the area and history along the way. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her manner so welcoming, we felt instantly at ease. The tour was incredible from start to finish, we managed to see everything that we wanted and Paola allowed us plenty of time to see the sights in detail. Great experience and a brilliant host. Can't recommend enough.

We enjoyed a two day Isle of Skye tour with Paola, who was an amazingly knowledgeable guide. She took good care of us, and our kids (9 and 11) loved the tour. She's full of information - history, culture, geography, flora, fauna, etc. We were kept on a tight schedule - but not rushed - and covered a lot of ground. I felt it was well worth it. I did, however, have a little difficulty getting questions answered before the trip. I wanted to know if dinner stops were included on both days so I could find a restaurant if needed. (They are not) There is a bit of hiking involved at the Fairy pools and Old Man of Storr, and it would've been helpful to have worn better shoes. Paola made our time in Scotland memorable. Thank you!

We had booked Isle of Skye with fairy pools for two senior persons. Trip was cancelled and we were not informed about it. We reached pick up point in the morning at 8.00AM , kept waiting for the bus, then called Mr.Robert who was not at all helpful. We did not receive any mail regarding cancellation. It has incurred huge expenses on hotel booking and flight changes. Wasted full one day , had to spend day in the hotel. Must compensate for it.
