I went to Emma J aesthetics for botox initially. Whilst there I mentioned other concerns she suggested her partner Dr Elder carry out additional work.
Emma did botox which was OK. Slight drop on eyebrows but perhaps that just happens with botox? It was very expensive and nothing you can't get elsewhere for about a third of the price. I paid extra as I felt safe in the comfort of a nurse and doctor doing it.
Dr Elder did cheek fillers which were targeted more to my undereye to fill them out. I had 1 ml in each side and the privilege cost me about 750 for that treatment alone.
Dr Elder also put a small amount of botox on either side of nose. The usual treatment for a gummy smile. Which I didn't have. I enquired about it to stop my cheeks pulling the sides of my nose up when I smiled. In fairness he did say "there's a risk your lip could drop a little, but I think you are going to be just fine" He was the professional so I trusted him. Within two days I woke up looking like something out of a scary movie. I was absolutely devistated. The bottom of my mouth moved but top lip had dropped right over my teeth and wouldn't move to smile eat or talk. I got straight back in touch and went in to see him asking what can we do. I was told not to fight fire with fire.
I hid myself away from social activities as much as possible for 4 months until the effects wore of. I was a running joke between friends and family. In total I spent about 1100 in treatment. Who cares if you don't have a wrinkley forehead when you can't move your top lip. They never offered me a penny of my money back. They wouldn't have lost a winks sleep about the way I was left feeling.
This is unfortunate to leave against Emma's page but it was her business I paid the money too and it was her who could have offered some form of refund for the treatment going wrong but they chose to send me home, saying if I put an electric toothbrush on the area it may regain movement quicker. Which it didn't. Service: BOTOX treatments
