Safety: Very safe
Walkability: Ness island is a lovely walk
Shops are all around area
Day tour bus pick up/ drop offs 7 min walk
Food & drinks: Morning breakfast was very good

Our compact room was exactly that (tiny) it wasn't the cleanest, and the wash hand basin plug didn't work.
The mattress was so old that you rolled into the middle.
They were the only hotel not to provide a continental breakfast for the cyclist taking part in the McMillan Cancer ETAPE. However, Inverness ETAPE did provide an excellent 5-star experience.
At breakfast, the ceiling started to leak, and the manager said there was no maintenance available at the weekends.
Lastly, why charge 10.00 for guests staying at the hotel to park their cars.

One morning I found pieces of glass in a changing mat and took one in the foot.

Le lit pas fait tous les jours les serviettes pas toujours changer , due de l'tablissement (ne correspond pas avec les photos sur les reseaux)
J'ai retrouver un matin des morceaux de verre dans un tapis changer et m'en suis pris un dans le pied .
