Pitfaranne Guest House

We had a fantastic time at Pitfaranne on our trip to Inverness. Maggie and Malcolm were fantastic hosts and recommended places in the area to go see, as well as places to eat & drink. The guest house is in a great location and close to the centre. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We will be back again :-)

We had the Ness Apartment, a charming little accommodation complete with full kitchen (including washing machine and dishwasher), sitting/dining room, bathroom, and bedroom that sleeps 3 upstairs. It was very comfortable. The only complaint is that bathroom sink is tiny with no counter space, and a cupboard/mirror directly above it which makes it very difficult to shave or wash your face without splashing water all over the floor. We also found mold in the washing machine detergent dispenser (which we cleaned) and mold under the kitchen sink. Proprietors Malcolm and Maggie are great. We would stay there again, and recommend to friends.

Malcom and Maggie are simply outstanding hosts. They took a personal interest in our visit and provided fantastic options as we chatted most pleasantly. We actually changed a day trip based on Malcom's advice and it was wonderful. Turned out to be much better than we had hoped. The rooms are clean and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was the best we had on our Scottish excursion -- Thank you Maggie! The Inn is located just a 5 min walk to great restaurants, shopping and and downtown Inverness. Most highly recommend this exceptional B&B. It is now our GOTO accommodation on all future trips in their locale. Loved it!
