(Translated by Google) We thought the road would never end. The house is truly secluded - and it was wonderful. Screaming pheasants at night, a river if lucky enough to see wild salmon and otters. A house as lovingly furnished as the hosts. Great people, the best breakfast we had in Scotland. Wonderful people and two sweet dogs. A small drawback was the small bed in the room. Our stay at Balvraid Lodge was simply amazing and has been the best so far since the beginning of our trip through Scotland. Rachael and James gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel at home as soon as we entered their beautiful, castle-like home. Rachael gets a true pleasure out of spoiling her guests, with delicious, freshly baked cake & bread to enjoy every day and local whisky to enjoy in their comfy saloon before taking a good nights rest in the spacious and warm interior of the room. The only thing that were sorry for is that we didnt get a chance to taste all of the delicious options that were served at breakfast, there was simply too much choice! Even though it is a bit further away from Inverness, we wouldnt have want to trade it with any other hotel!
