Popped in to Invergowrie Model Centre first chance I could after lockdown as Ive bought things a few times before there.The shop is fairly small but theres a pretty good selection of train gear and some decent ww1 and 2 models as well.Well to say the reception from the owner was icy is putting it mildly.I guess the hand written signs on the door should have warned me Do not enter without a mask,No exceptions and Come in if you are buying not browsing.But hey ho I knocked on the door anyway and after a bark of Ohhhh come in I walked in.Now I have to say I am exempt from mask wearing for health reasons but Mr.Grumpy old git was having none of it.Wheres your mask!I,m exempt for health reasons Not in here your notwas the reply.I didnt argue just told him I wouldnt be back and walked out.Not only was he discriminatory against someone with health issues he also grumpily barked his demands at me,sat down with no mask on himself.Hypocritical much!?Instead I went to Rif-RAF models in Albert Street which was just the tonic for that awful experience.Mannerable,knowledgeable,cleaner and a great stock of models and accessories.No train stuff though but night and day compared with Invergowrie.Do yourselves a favour and buy online or from some other local model outlet for your train layouts and visit Rif RAF for all other modelling needs.

Gus is a great guy and is never out of line. During covid we all need to be careful. Would wearing a mask be that hard. It's a small area and too be safe is everyone's hope. To push the no mask thing is foolish and selfish

Having gone in and bought stuff as a kid I took my son in the other day to look for a bit for his railway. Same man as when I was young but now not interested. Asked about the part I was looking for , told him I had found it online but wanted to see if he stocked it or could source it. Postage cost online is crazy. Attitude was basically buy it online.
