I have been going to balmeadowside for more than 5 years now. It is an absolute haven for those wanting peace quiet and privacy. All of the lodges are of a high standard and have beautiful quirky decor and high quality furnishings. Staff are always on hand to help and the lodges are always immaculate. It is a home from home and I will always return here... my happy palce

Cannot recommend highly enough, we stayed in the hedgehog cabin and it was the perfect size for 2 people and 1 dog, it was clean and had everything needed for a self catering stay. They even provided a bowl, blanket and some treats for the dog which was such a nice touch. The walks round the cabin were great. There are easy trails to choose from or some harder ones, they are all very well signposted and had some wonderful views. We encountered the deer, some llamas and the goats as well as the swans and ducks at the duck pond. We were also happy to find out that a couple local takeaways deliver to the cabin as well which was great for our final night. Wish we had booked a longer stay!
