Yet again, a delicious bundle of wild meat. Its easy to order online and were fortunate enough to live close by so its just a short drive down the road to collect our order. We served the venison burgers to a friend at the weekend and as we expected they were really appreciated. Cant recommend highly enough. An update on my last review and its just to say its still just as good April 2023 update We had the venison shank over the weekend. We cooked it for an hour in the pressure cooker. In a red wine and beef stock, with spring onions and mushrooms that needed using, carrots and celery. The meat fell off the bone and shredded easily. Then back in the pot for a bit of a reduction but only a bit. On Saturday night we had it with herby mashed potatoes and on Sunday night we added herby dumplings to the ample gravy. One of the best home cooked meals we've had in ages. We're repeat customers of Woodmill Game because their meat in all its forms is delicious.
