The Steadings Log Cabin and Apartment

We're back for a second year! If you can avoid the mental bumpy approach road you'll find a great wee log cabin (ours had a hot tub), and plenty to do in the surrounding areas.

I stayed in Beech Lodge with my partner & our dog Luther at the end of May for 3 nights. It is located in a beautiful location, surrounded by farm land & forest making it very peaceful & quiet. There are also other lodges on the property & all the residents were friendly. Sharon & John the owners were very welcoming & helpful (socially distanced at all times), & were always available if we needed anything. Luther gave them 5 stars as they provided dog bowls, treats & a fleece blankets for him on arrival. We requested no feather pillows / duvets, a fan & a stand for a disposable BBQ which were provided. The lodge is very spacious, comfortable, full equipped with lovely furnishings, including a great outdoor hot tub. It was really like a home from home. Plenty of cleaning supplies in line with covid guidance, & also provided small fridge, washing machine, microwave, cooker, toaster, crockery, cutlery, towels, bathrobes, iron, hairdryer, etc. Everything we needed was provided. We ate in every night & dined on the porch area which was lovely. Local takeaway / restaurant menus are provided but some where only open on weekends & we were there midweek. All appliances were in good condition & good working order. Full instructions were available for appliances. There's free wifi & a smart tv which we were able to log into our netflix account, but remember to sign out before you leave. The location was ideal for linking by car to local beaches & walks for our dog. Elie beach & Leven beach are close by, as well as the Falkland Estate. We all loved our stay here & will definitely be back again.
