Catriona and Alasdair went out of their way to make us welcome. The accommodation was fabulous. The double bedroom is at the rear of the house; it had an extremely comfortable bed and there was a fabulous view from the large windows over to the west Lomond hills. The house is set in a very pretty garden behind a stream outside of Auchtermuchty. Catriona and Alasdair were extremely kind in helping advise us on the best places to go during our brief stay; loaning us a guide book about the area, the Fife coastal paths, and suggesting where we might be able to eat. Breakfast was really good and fun eating together in the kitchen. They have two of the most well trained dogs, Archie , a royal dog now I suppose, and Finn, who are lovely pair of golden working cocker spaniels. Their house is easily found on the way out of Auchtermuchty heading up the hill towards Newburgh. Catriona and Alasdair are very interesting to talk with and were the most accommodating hosts. We sat up rather late with them the first evening in their lounge talking and had a really wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend staying with them and Archie and Finn if you are visiting the area.
