A group of us stayed at this beautiful little castle set in the delights of the Scottish hills. The property has lots to offer for a group; the building is well kept, and the bedrooms, bathrooms, bedding, furniture and kitchen are excellent, as is the outside space overlooking the river. The location is ideally situated for trips to Pitlochry, Loch Rannoch and its station with access to services as far as London! We took the train to Fort William, where we caught a bus to the Ben Nevis cable car (a great day out). If you're looking for somewhere to stay, look no further than East Lodge!

What can I say, East Lodge has been mine and the families go to fairytale castle in the heart of the Dunalastair estate for a number of years. A great appointed house which is very clean, tidy and accommodating. The surrounding area around the house is excellent with walks along the river and also around the local area in which you can see a variety of wildlife. Local areas from around the house include a 20 to 25 minute drive into Pitlochry , which is nice and also a 20 minute drive to the house of Brauer, which is also a nice trip out if you like Scottish shopping. Overall, I could never fault East Lodge and the team that take care of all the bookings and look after your stay, which is Beatrice and Rose. A great self catering house in a superb location.

This was my second stay at East Lodge and highly recommend this house (I think its to grand to be called a cottage) originally booked for May 2020.... then this virus called Covid dropped by and ruined our plans multiple times!! But eventually made it!! Came with my mum as she had not had a holiday for over ten years. And it was soo worth it, my dog recognised it immediately and decided to show mum's dog and gave him a full tour. This mini castle is peaceful, exciting, gorgeous well equipped every thing you want is there. A welcome of Beatrice in the morning, we did day trips and walks went high into the Highlands visited the House of Bruar... did not watch TV listened to a radio or used our phone for a week (phone only to check if some one contacted us and replied we were fine) we watched nature pass by.... deer, woodpeckers geese, ducks, frogs, (hilarious with the dogs)red Gite and Ospreys - we talked laughed, read, ate and a few wee drinks!! River is 50 meters from the front door, fishing licence was included so a great spot for Fisher man and woman, fish is jumping out of the river nearly!! Great walks with the dogs, shopping is delivered by Tesco so if you want you do not have to leave at all.... although.... Great food available from the House of Bruar!!
