Mid Balchandy

Love it. This was our second stay. Well appointed and well stocked with a lovely selection of books on a variety of subjects, and lots of information on the local area. Beautiful views. Log fires. Nothing too much trouble for our lovely hostess. A short drive to Pitlochry and all that has to offer, as well as other places to visit. Dining at the lovely Tummel Inn, near Queen's View (also worth a visit). Could have stayed much longer!

Perfect - and well deserving of the many successive years' Cottages.com Customer Service Awards! Superb accommodation and location, being in an elevated rural position but only a couple of miles from Pitlochry. The outlook over the lovely garden (with an abundance of birds and even red squirrels!), to the fields and hills beyond, especially from the sunny conservatory was dramatic and captivating, literally from dawn to dusk. Absolutely everything was provided that you could possibly need - and more, with a very thoughtful and generous welcome pack even including fresh flowers and plenty of wood and kindling with firelighters for the cosy log burner (although the central heating was more than sufficient without a fire anyway). Our dog was also made to feel very welcome with her own basket of goodies and water and food bowls. The cottage itself was very comfortably furnished and all the fittings and equipment were excellent quality, with plenty of local information and maps provided, and a well organised instruction folder. All extremely professional, as well as a friendly and helpful owner on hand if needed, but not at all intrusive. There is so much to do and see in this area and the cottage was so lovely that we would really like to return, as a week was just not long enough.
