Loch Lomond Boat And Trailer Repair LTD

Handed my boat in based on promises - which I accept was not the wised thing to do. I had a 225 hp outboard that had a fault and was told they would fix it and fix the brakes on my trailer. This was @ March this year as I wanted boat ready in tome for the season - long snd short of it - after @ 4 months of the worst communications I have ever experienced from any company ( and thats sting something) I was handed the boat back at no cost - but no repairs had been carried out ( they clearly do not have the technical expertise for big outboards) nor had the trailer been done. My expensive boat cover had been completely written off as it had been removed from the boat and dumped in long grass in a field where boat had been abandoned and as a result mice had chewed throughout it in numerous locations. The cover was 2 years old but they told me it wasnt very good anyway which I found completely insulting - he did eventually offer to buy me a new one - but ( in November now) that never happened - and as usual they are unavailable to phone. When I took my boat to Clyde Marine they took the engine cover off in front of me when I dropped the boat off - straight away it was clear the internal flywheel cover was missing - Loch Lomond Boat and Repair denied having removed it - this list then went on - Im well known on the Loch so if you meet me I am happy to tell you what else was wrong. Anyway happy outcome for me as I discovered Clyde Marine Services who repaired the engine to an extremely high standard . However based on my horrendous experience with Loch Lomond Boat and Trailer I am unable to recommend them at all.

Just had my boat in for major service and sterndrive overhaul. Also a few other things like small jobs on my trailer. Very professional service, kept me informed throughout and every expense was detailed clearly on the excellently presented invoice as well as detailed description of all work.
