As run free fields go this is the worst I've been to. Unsuitable fencing, off road car destroying adventure to reach poor parking area and unsuitable field. The road to get there is about a mile off road, very rough surface, if you care about your cars paintwork you'll be crawling up and back down it or better yet avoiding it entirely. The car park is just a small layby off road with a similar surface to the road, enough space for 2 cars snuggly, they recommend you reverse park making it a tight squeeze for loading/unloading your dogs from the car. The actual field itself seems a bit run down, no hoses/wash for the dogs but that might be due to COVID restrictions or something. This coupled with the tiny muddy car park makes it very difficult to give the dogs a quick cleaning off before loading them. The majority of the field is on an incline relatively steep so if you have mobility issues I'd recommend against using this one compared to a more flat area. Not a deal breaker but definitely something to keep in mind when booking. The deal breaker for me is that it's meant to have 6ft fences all around but in one of the corners the fence is around 5ft and at the base of a relatively steep hill, if you have boisterous dogs that like to jump fences they could get out of the field at that corner relatively easily. Overall I'd recommend if you don't mind the extra 15 minute drive, go to the Faifley/Bearsden field as the Cardross one is very poor. Only go to this one if you have no other choice.

Unfortunately after a heavy rain fall couldn't get out of car due to being attacked by flying insects. Off road path pretty difficult for my little car. Hoping the flying insect experience was just because of weather?? Had to abandon my slot.
