This hack was exactly what I envisioned. As an experienced rider visiting Scotland I wanted to have a hack in the gorgeous scenery of the woods and along the beach. The horse I was provided (J.D) had a lovely temperament and responded well to my instructions. The hack leader Elizabeth was very friendly, knowledgeable of the area and always double checked I was ok. We had multiple trots and canters and I really appreciated being able to ride in what felt like a totally free and natural environment. I definitely would return again.

Kids had a wonderful hack in the woods lead by older children who were lovely, however I had to tell them to do the girth up as it was loose, hadn't been checked by an adult. There was a large horse kicking the stable door which a girl kept hitting him round his head also whipping him with a lead rope over the stable door. I watch her trying to put on a bridle again hitting him as he threw back his head. No adults in site sadly we won't be back.

My friend and I had a beach hack at Equus on Saturday, and aside from us picking the best day of the year and the weather being perfect, we had a fantastic morning. Elizabeth, who took us out, was really friendly and answered all our questions about horses, whilst making us feel at ease (neither of us are by any means experts!) and she took some photos of us on the beach which was really nice of her. I was put on a lovely boy called Scooby who was a perfect gent, he does indeed love his Scooby snacks as she liked to stop and have a munch now and again but who can blame him! I am now keen to start riding lessons as I enjoyed it that much. You are made to feel welcome and even though I'm a newbie, I didn't feel nervous as everyone was so nice. Thanks to Laura for sorting us out and getting us booked in, excellent communication. I hope to be back soon! Thanks again.
