Beautiful spot and the surrounding forest is magical. Went during the drought of 22 so there was just a trickle of water. It would be nice to see full force.

Can be a challenging find if you've not been there before. Bridge on the path has been removed

A place I've lived near for 15 years and never knew it was here until about a month ago. I love waterfalls and although this one is no Victoria Falls it certainly has a visual charm. Getting to it is not entirely straightforward though: On the most direct route, it's almost exactly 1 miles from the car park - an easy stroll along forest tracks for about 1 miles - it's the last 400yards where it becomes a little indistinct. Some of the paths that are shown on OS maps no longer exist, even footbridges on the map are long gone without trace. Once you find the correct path, it is punctuated by stretches of ankle deep mud and extreme narrowings (a slip will land you in the water below). Return is by the same path. Update June 2021: The Forestry Commission took it upon themselves to remove all of the footbridges in 2020. Still trying to find out whether they will ever be returning. For now if you want to visit the falls, you need to ford at least one stream.
