Tweedguide

My wife and I just finished a most magnificent day with our guide, John Dawson. As Americans, we didn't know what to expect, but I'll just say Tweedguide over delivered. John was very patient helping my wife who is a newcomer to fly fishing. And he was very helpful in my landing of two very large Grayling, a fish I'd never seen before. More importantly, we fished in an absolutely beautiful place and we now will have memories to last a lifetime.

I am a travel agent and fly fishing enthusiast so fly fishing in Scotland checked off a lot of boxes for me. Ron made the arrangements for this trip extremely convenient, and our guide, John Dawson, was friendly, welcoming and, above all, knowledgeable and professional. This was my wife's first time to try fly fishing and John did a great job teaching her how to properly cast and work the line. This will not be our only trip to Scotland and we will definitely be using Tweedguide in the future.

A brilliant introduction into Salmon fishing. Excellent tuition into spey casting and two handed rod techniques, followed by a fabulous day on the river. Our guide was skilled, patient, and great company. And we caught a Salmon :)

Fishing with Tweed Guide (and Bill!) was an absolute pleasure. For my first attempt at fishing in the UK, I could not have chosen a better guide service to use. Not only was Bill incredibly knowledgeable about everything from the stretch of river we fished to proper casting technique, but he was also one of the most gregarious and kind individuals I have met. As a teacher, he was straight forward and easy to understand, as well as incredibly patient. His advice helped me so much, and I had a wonderful day on the river. Bill brings so much to the table as a guide, from decades of fishing experience and expertise to his outgoing nature and upbeat personality. I wholeheartedly recommend Tweed Guide for any Scottish adventure, and had one of my favorite days of fly fishing ever with Bill. A wonderful service run by great people.
