We had a great stay here with our 3 year-old son. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. The bedrooms were both of a good size. The hosts were really welcoming and happy to show our young farming enthusiast the animals and the tractor. They went out of their way to make sure we all had an enjoyable holiday.

We had a wonderful week at Owl Cottage. Upon arrival, delicious homemade muffins were ready. There was also plenty of coffee, tea, washing up liquid, hand soap, toilet paper and dishwasher tablets. The kitchen is very large. And the utility room has a table tennis table and a pool table. Washing machine and dryer available. Although the dryer has had its best time. In the scullery there is also access to an extra bathroom with shower and toilet. Cosy sitting room with TV. Upstairs 3 spacious bedrooms and a bathroom. The only downside was the garden. This is a small enclosed back garden with a picnic table. Although we had very nice weather, we did not eat outside. It was not very inviting. I did enjoy the morning sun at the front of the house. It would be nice to have a bench there to enjoy the beautiful view. There is a tennis court at the Farm. We just had to send Lucy an app and she responded within 5 minutes that we were welcome to use the tennis court. Never played tennis before with such a beautiful view! We did a lot of things in the week we were there. We went to Edinburgh. To Floors Castle in Kelso, to Abbotsford, Melrose, Berwick-upon-Tweed and had a wonderful walk on the coastal path at St. Abb's Head. All in all, we had a great week and I would recommend staying at Bairnkine to anyone.
