Hidden gem, my wee man played for hours, n never got fed up. Staff fab n knowledgeable nothing too much bother. My only qualm is that spectating it feels like the north pole. And needs to be advertised more as did know it was there.

Excellent place to go for a climb. The staff are always friendly and helpful, as are the other climbers! Good music too. You can use the app Griptonite to mark what routes you've done, and they reset a section of wall most weeks so there's always something fresh :) Oh, and the grub's great as well!

Decided to take my child and three friends tonight after clarifying that children were welcome with adult supervision (1 adult per 2 children aged 12) Advised adults do not have to climb with children, can spectate. 44 for the children 2.50 for hand chalk 5.50 x 2 coffees 8 four ice cream 5 two soft drinks Total 65 Arrived at 6.30pm, place was empty, paid, kids happily went on their way, sat down at cafe area and kids went to climb/play, no issues, four member of staff standing around doing nothing, kids were fine on their own. Fast forward 1 hour 10 mins later when we have been sitting in full view of staff who have no issues with us sitting or children climbing (not paying any attention to them at all, which I was a bit disappointed as I thought it was a place of teaching and encouragement) and manager appears, lectures the girls for running towards the empty climbing area, then lectures my husband and I for not lecturing the children, apologies offered (TBF, I'm more concerned that kids may fall from a great hight, than trip on padded mat en route to climbing area, but hey) 20 minutes later ,manager informs us that we have to supervise kids by following them around the empty area as one was seen to be doing a cartwheel at one point, (child is a top class gymnast, cartwheels everywhere, always great to encourage talented children) and also that they climbed to the top of the wall (isn't that the aim of the game?) A few 'regulars' appear, not climbing, just in visiting and staff start to interact and become more lively when the regulars appear, it's now very apparent that we are not welcome, the children are not welcome and staff showed them no interest in teaching or supporting them, one man they obviously know starts to climb and right away has staff support and guidance. Freezing cold, expensive, unwelcoming and obviously set up for regular customers only. Manager was rude, obnoxious and made it very clear the children were an inconvenience. Really disappointing, upsetting and embarrassing as they had been looking forward to a fun night out. I came to hang on Hamilton with my youngest child and her friends tonight, For context, I've been going to soft plays for years and this was a million times worse, any parent who has endured a soft play knows exactly how bad that is.
