Rented a flat here with no issues on our side for 4 years. When leaving they tried to claim our whole 575 deposit due to "marks on the wall" and a crack on a fridge shelf. Make sure you take pictures of the condition of the property as they will make any claim to keep the deposit.

We rented from rent locally for nearly 4 years. During that time staff were helpful and responded to repairs quickly. However, when we moved out of the property rent locally disputed our full deposit of 575 claiming the money had been spent on damages, repairs, decorating and bin uplifts. We disagreed and believed we left the flat in very good condition, and stupidly the flat was very central in Hamilton and when passing the flat we could see that the rubbish was not ours and had not in fact been uplifted. We countered the dispute meaning rent locally had to provide proof of their spending, which they could not and thankfully after nearly 6 months we did get most of our deposit back. Unfortunately this experience totally tarnished an otherwise good relationship with Rent Locally. Id recommend anyone looking to rent from the company to take pictures of everything when you move in and out to cover yourself.

From the outset, 'Rentlocally' stood out from the crowd due to their team's level of courtesy, attentiveness and efficiency. Shirleyann, the manager, followed-up our on-site property evaluation with a telephone call and an in-depth email outlining costs and service provision. (In my experience, not supplied by other providers). This was the deciding factor for me. My property was then put on the market with three rental acceptances within days. Lauren, another team member and Shirleyann dealt with the conclusion of missives, tenant deposits, rent transfer, a comprehensive flat itinerary, Council Tax and Gas and Electricity transfers to tenants. Thank you ladies for taking the stress out of renting a property and making my life so much easier. I would certainly recommend your team.
