I took my son to meet Andrew at Kip McGrath after he had failed his first maths exam at high school and demoted to a lower class. He was completely shell shocked as he had always been told he was excellent at maths at Primary School, so his confidence was completely shattered. It seemed although my son was great at mental maths- he struggled to answer the exam questions properly. After the first meeting with Andrew, my son felt immediately better. Andrew has such a calm coaching style which makes the children feel at ease and encourages them to ask for help. It did not feel like another classroom to my son- at no point did he feel it was a chore to go to Kip after school. Under Andrews guidance, my son has attained top marks in his classroom tests and grade A at National 5. He is on track to receive and A for his higher maths. Whilst of course the results are important, the thing that is most relevant to me is the encouragement Andrew gave to my son when he was at his lowest, thinking he was stupid. No matter what I as his mum said, he was convinced he was no good at Maths- and terrible at exams! I cannot recommend Andrew Moulden enough- he is a fantastic tutor and mentor.

Karen came highly recommended and has worked wonders for our daughter. She loved the classroom feel to the tutoring but Karen and Andrew were always on hand if needed. We are sad to be leaving Hamilton Kip but EK is more convenient now.

Best decision ever to enrol my daughter for Higher Maths tuition.The additional support has made a huge difference in her understanding of the subject and given her the confidence to finally sit the exam. Thank you Andrew for your patience and going at a pace that was comfortable to my daughter. Not all children learn at the same pace and losing so much classroom time due to covid did not help, but you brought her back up to the level she should be at to enable her to sit the exam. Thank you so much.
