Complete Movement

Many thanks to the team in Complete Movement for their expertise and knowledge of the body, they have helped me move more comfortably over the past year as I've tried to strengthen my body in preparation for a hip replacement due to osteoarthritis. Both Maureen and Colleen's calm manner and encouragement have made this journey a happy and successful one, I go in for my operation next week. I'm looking forward to more Pilates in a few weeks time, it has helped me enormously at this challenging time and it will feature in the rest of my life. It's great to move! Regards Grace MacKinnon

I came to work with Maureen to improve my chore strength and minimise back pain, but realised immediately that the sessions were about so much more than that: Maureen helped me find a way to connect with my body, which I had been missing for a very long time. Maureen has a wonderful way of guiding me through movements so I know what Im meant to be doing. Her sessions are empowering, intuitive and soothing, and I always always leave feeling calm and uplifted and lengthened. I cannot recommend Maureen highly enough.

I currently attend Pilates studio sessions with Fiona Carter and remedial massage with Fiona Fisher at Complete Movement, and both professionals have had a major impact on my health and wellbeing. I find the studio Pilates sessions more effective than the mat classes I had been doing previously. Fiona C tailors the sessions depending on how I'm feeling on a given day, particularly with reference to my multiple sclerosis symptoms. Remedial massage sessions with Fiona F started last year when I had difficulties with my shoulders. The partnership between Fiona Fisher's incredible massage and Fiona Carter's extensive Pilates wisdom resolved the shoulder issues so well that we're now all working on the knee that I damaged 30 years ago! My sincere thanks to both for their talent, kindness and good humour, and to Maureen for leading the Complete Movement team. I heartily recommend dropping by for a movement MOT - it was one of the best decisions I have made :)

I have been going regularly to Maureen at Complete Movement since it opened. I find both Maureen and the studio excellent. The guidance and support received is second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

t's hard to put words to the value I get from pilates with Complete Movement. I went to Maureen for pilates in recovery from a back injury. Working with her, I have improved my core strength, balance and general body awareness no end. I feel equipped to maintain my body now and apply what I've learned from Maureen on a daily basis to enhance my performance in kitesurfing, surfing, skiing and mountain biking and to recover faster from the inevitable aches and pains all these activities cause. If you want to improve your body awareness and reap the many benefits of Pilates in partnership with an open minded and knowledgeable instructor, Maureen at Complete Movement is your woman!
